Doctor David Ganji is very passionate about his calling and his patients. He has seen first-hand how helping people who are struggling with dental pain and smiles has boosted their self-esteem and confidence. This is what makes him believe that everyone can enjoy excellent overall health and beautiful smiles.
Other than his passion, Doctor David Ganji is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of California Los Angeles. He has a powerful desire to help other people, and this desire is what drove him to the School of Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. This is the training that earned him a degree in Dental Medicine.
Doctor David Ganji has achieved so much in the field of dentistry. He has, for instance, taken courses in implant, cosmetic and root canal areas of dentistry. His qualification gives him confidence in what he does together with his brother, colleagues, and surgeons who work in the field of dentistry.
Doctor Sam Ganji is a native of Southern California and has earned his DDS degree from the University of Southern California. His first Bachelor’s degree was in PsychoBiology, which he obtained from UCLA. At the moment, the doctor is a volunteer with the university's Mobile Dental Clinic, where they provide dental care for underprivileged individuals in Los Angeles. Doctor Sam Ganji is also a member of the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association as well as the Los Angeles Dental Society.
Through his association with the School of Dentistry at USC, Doctor Sam Ganji has learned a lot about the use of the latest technologies and techniques in the treatment of various dental issues. He has been incorporating those in Washington Dental to ensure that our dental office is providing high quality and efficient dental treatment to all its patients.

How We Help
We offer a wide range of dental services that are all geared towards prevention, diagnosis, and restoration of dental health. We also provide cosmetic dental care to treat all kinds of dental and gum-related issues and diseases. This is how best we can help to ensure that our clients are maintaining optimal oral health.
The Services we Offer at Washington Dental in Bell Gardens
All our services revolve around supporting the health and functionality of our clients' teeth and gums as well as improve the aesthetic look of their smile. To achieve this, we have a wide range of dental techniques that we offer, using the best quality materials, tools, and state-of-the-art dental appliances. Here, we shall cover our three main areas of service delivery. We shall give a little emphasis on dental implants because it is an area that not many doctors have mastered, which we have vast experience in installation.
Free Dental Exam
As mentioned above, it is recommended to have dental exams at least every 4 or 6 months. This helps dentists capture any problems in their early stages as well as preventing others from developing. At Washington Dental, we will devote much of our first examination checking our teeth for every sign of weakening and decay. We shall scrutinize your gums too; to be sure that they are fit. We go through every process with our clients, to allow them to make the best decision. We aim to give you the best dental health that you need at that instance.
Digitized X-Rays
We also use modern equipment such as digital x-rays during dental exams to ensure that we are not missing out on any possible problem. Such x-rays are preferred as they produce first-class images instantly on their LCD monitors, where both the dentist and the patient can see. The high-technology x-rays we use are not only exceptionally detailed but are also quite safe, producing at least 90% low radiation. In addition to these, we use quality intraoral minicameras to take pictures. These enable us to see the condition of your teeth and gums at that instance.
White Composite Dental Fillings
To restore the tooth structure that has been lost to decay, we recommend dental fillings. At Washington Dental, we use natural-colored white composite fillings. This is because they are stronger, more durable, and stain-resistant as compared to amalgam and silver fillings. They also minimize the extent of a tooth that should be removed for installation. We recommend our quality dental fillings for minimal tooth repairs, to help prevent further decay and even for restoring a tooth that has been weakened over time.
Other Services and FAQs
Dental Implants
Dental implants are roots for replacement teeth. They give a strong foundation for permanent or removable replacement teeth, which have been designed to match a patient's natural teeth. Dental implants are loved for various reasons. They, for instance, improve the appearance of a patient's teeth. This is because they are designed to look and feel exactly like their teeth. They also improve comfort and speech, as well as your self-esteem. Above all, dental implants are durable as well as convenient.
Dental Bridge
In the case of one or multiple missing teeth, we use dental bridges to restore them. A bridge will join an artificial tooth to an adjacent natural tooth. Dental implants could be used in this case to create a more natural and long-lasting look and feel. If properly installed, dental bridges can serve a patient for 15 years or more. We advise good oral hygiene and regular checkups with your dentist, though, as this will help in keeping them healthy and durable.
Invisalign
These are the plastic form of dental braces that are used for teeth adjustments. They are usually clear and therefore not noticeable when a person smiles. They are also straightforward to remove when a patient is eating or cleaning their teeth. Invisalign are easy to maintain too, and will not require regular visits to the doctor. Again, they will complete the treatment a little faster than braces. They are, however, a little more costly when compared to braces.
Crowns
This too is a form of dental restoration that is recommended when a larger cavity is threatening a healthy tooth. In their treatment, a dental crown will be bonded to the affected tooth using dental cement. A crown generally caps or encircled the affected tooth or a dental implant. There are various reasons why your dentist will recommend a dental crown. It could be the best form of treatment to hold a weak or broken tooth in place.
What is the Process of Installing a Dental Implant?
Placing a dental implant will take several steps, starting with the removal of the damaged tooth and the preparation of the jawbone for installation. When the affected area is ready, the implant can be installed. The process may take several months as you heal, and as you wait for a new bone to grow in your jaw. Note that dental implants may require several surgical procedures. For that reason, there is a need for a comprehensive dental exam. Your dentist will also review your medical history before recommending the best treatment plan.
When Do I Need an Extraction?
In case of a damaged or broken tooth, a competent dentist will try first to fix it. This could be done with a crown, filling, or other available dental treatments. However, there are instances when the tooth is severely damaged and cannot be fixed. In that case, your dentist will recommend an extraction. There are two main procedures for teeth extraction. These are:
- Through a simple extraction process. This works for teeth that can easily be seen in the mouth. In this case, the dentist will loosen the tooth with an elevator, and then he/she will use forceps to remove it.
- Through surgical extraction: This procedure is a little complicated and is applied in cases where the tooth has broken off at the gum or has not yet erupted. Extracting a tooth that cannot be seen in the mouth is not easy, and so an oral surgeon will have to remove it surgically. This is done by making a small incision into the gum where the tooth is to be removed.
What Should I Do if I Experience Bleeding Gums?
The leading cause of bleeding gums is inflammation or irritation. This could be caused by plaque, a bacterium that could have been left on the teeth. {Plaque will cause inflammation called gingivitis, which, when not treated, could result in gum disease. This needs daily cleaning or interdental cleaning to prevent the plaque from turning into a hard deposit called calculus. Brushing your teeth regularly is required to keep the bacteria from building up in the mouth.
What Does It Mean When Your Face Is Swollen?
Swelling on the face could indicate that you have an infection. In this case, you need to visit a dentist as soon as possible. If indeed you have an infection, your dentist will prescribe antibiotics to relieve the symptoms of that infection. We are open to receive you at our Bell Gardens office. Therefore, you can call us right away to book an appointment.
